OUR GROWING NON-PROFIT SEEKS VOLUNTEER DIRECTORS
The Forest Exploration Center (FEC) is spreading its branches in the search for talented and committed candidates willing to serve on our governing board as a volunteer for a two-year term.
The Forest Exploration Center is a non-profit partner with the Wisconsin DNR Division of Forestry. We co-manage the forest and provide educational outreach for this 60-acre green gem on the historic Milwaukee County Grounds in Wauwatosa.
Candidates should have an appreciation of -and be guided-by a science-based approach to sustainable forestry and wildlife resources. Board members are always guided by the FEC’s mission, values and goals and Board members should be familiar with and strive to advance the purpose of the FEC.
Prospective candidates with experience in fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in natural resources as well as legal, business and development experience are particularly desired.
As always, the FEC is committed to volunteer governance that reflects the diversity of Wisconsin and the greater community that we serve.
